Panaji by-election may also be held on 23 April

With the demise of Manohar Parrikar, it is likely that by-election for Panaji seat would also be held on 23rd April along with Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections of other three vacant seats.

Election Commission of India has to take a decision in this regard.

 Election Commission has already announced that the official notification would be issued on 28^th March for Lok Sabha election and Assembly by-elections in Goa and polling would be held on 23^rd April.

Since Panaji seat is an addition now, local Electoral Office has already intimated the Election Commission about it.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Narayan Sawant says the Commission has to take a final call in this regard.
