Cabinet held; land acquisitions for double tracking, Mopa finalised

The cabinet met on Wednesday. Important discussions included the finalisation for the balance land to be acquired for Mopa.



Land acquisition for the double tracking of the Margao Basco railway line and the payment dues for the dredging of the river Sal.


Cabinet cleared 1235 sq mts of land for th edouble tracking of the railway trackk at Majorda.


It also rejected the name for a scientific assistant for the forensic department because of the lack on knowledge of Konkanni, the chief minister said.


The name had already been cleared by the GPSC.


The procurement of land for extension of the airport.


They also reduced the length of the runway from 3750 sq mts to 3500 sq mts.
