Valpoi MLA Vishwajit Rane has been given the added portfolio of Forests

 consistently opposing many aspects of the Sanctuaries that border his constituencies.  

  It may be recalled that a tiger movement in Mollem village was captured on camera a few days ago. Following it, the Range Forest Officer in a letter confirmed the movement of tiger in Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park where Mollem is part of. It cautioned villagers not to enter into protected areas and not to stray livestock in the area. 

: However, Rane had denied any reports of tiger spotting. Vishwajit also opposed tiger reserve survey saying people do not want it. Vishwajit also has comebout strongly against converting national parks into tiger reserves. Now intrestingly Vishwajit gets the Forest Ministry.

 He had rubbished claims of tiger presence in Mhadei wildlife sanctuary has now got Forest Ministry. This portfolio was earlier handled by the Chief Minister.
