Talks on safety in schools held once again

Non-installation of CCTV cameras in government schools, school wise committees on student’s safety, menace of anti-social elements, schools inability to deploy security were some of the issues that were discussed at a meeting called by the Mormugao Municipal Council recently of all the school management in its jurisdiction.

MMC would also request funds to school from the MPLAD schemes.

MMC chief officer Agnelo Fernandes said that a police team will visit all the schools under the jurisdiction of the Municipality once a month to hear their grievances and to provide all possible help to the schools to keep anti-social elements away from school premises.


MMC is to put up all such issues before the director of Education as well as the south Goa Collector.
