There is big relief among Goan Seafarers as they can now avail of a Continues Discharge Certificate without SSC certificate after relaxation by the DG Shipping.
CDC is a seafarer's identity document issued in India.
It's mandatory for every seafarer to carry this document while on board.
But completion of SSC was a must to get a CDC.
The association said seafarers working more than 20 years on cruise liners.
When CDC was bought into the force in 2017, many of these seafarers were in trouble.
