PWD decides to disconnect water boost pumps in port town

Many residents in Vasco's New Vaddem area have fitted booster pumps to enhance their water supply. As a result, consumers who do not have booster pumps were not getting proper water supply.

Hence the PWD has decided to disconnect the booster pumps and impose fine on the errant consumers.

 PWD assistant engineer  Eknath Paste said that the PWD has issued an order to disconnect the booster pumps.

The order states that the maintenance staff should disconnect booster pumps installed by the consumers to the direct pipeline in Mormugao municipal area.
