Jobs for Locals priority at Mopa: Civil Aviation Minister

By 2025 three crore tourists will come to Goa says Union Minister Suresh Prabhu.



He said that jobs for locals will be a priority and they will be provided skill development programs in the aviation sector.


This airport will be responsible for the growth of the state in various sectors as this project will generate a lot of employment for Goans the union minister said.


He said that setting up an entertainment park to boost the economy of the state should also look into. Mopa can also be used as a cargo hub, he said.


Present were Chief secretary Dharmendra Sharma, MP Shripad Naik, Pedne MLA Babu Azgaonkar, Mandre MLA Dayanand Sopte, BJP Chief Vinay Tendulkar and other authorities.

 

Outside the venue there were protests. Protestors were saying that the project is going to ruin the flora and fauna around.
