Cyclone Rose: Red alert in Odissa, AP; heavy rain in Goa, Maha, Guj

Odisha and Andra Pradesh have been put on Red alert and very heavy rain has been predicted for Goa, Maharashtra, Chattisgargh, and Gujarat as Cyclone Gulab is likely to start making landfall from the “evening of today," the IMD had tweeted.

IMD informed that Cyclone Gulab is likely to move westwards and cross north Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha as a cyclonic storm by today midnight.  The cyclonic storm is expected to make landfall between Gopalpur in Odisha and Kalingapatanam in Andhra Pradesh with wind speeds of upto 95 kmph.
