It’s a matter of worry if Konkani is not safe in its own land: Fr Mousinho

 This is what Fr Mousinho De Athaide, a strong advocate of the use local language in education had to say after he was honored with the Kashinath Mahale Asmitai Puraskar by Asmitai Pratishthan.

Asmitai Pratishthan was established in 1994. It has worked to preserve Konkani language and culture. The Kashinath Mahale award ceremony was held by then on Thursday in Panaji. Fr Mousinho was presented the award by veteran writer Suresh Amonkar. Various dignitaries were present for this function. Watch
