Maintenance work to restart the Sanjivanee Sugar factory at Dharbandora has not yet begun.

Farmers say that it might take another 2 months die the factory to begin production.

So they have not started harvesting the sugarcane. But this is bad news for the farmers as the sugarcane will mature due to the soaring temperatures.

Farmers say that once sugarcane matures it becomes spongy losing all its liquid.

As Sanjivanee factory is taking time to start, farmers fear that their crops will get wasted once they become mature.

Sugarcane farmer Nitin Dessai said in addition to delay in harvesting government is not releasing water.

He fears that if there are further delay the crops would be spoilt.
