Russians, BJP flaunt lockdown rules; hold parties amid pandemic, videos go viral

The chief minister does not want us to even go even to our neighbours house, no parties, nothing. Technically the lockdown is still in force along with section 144. But a video has gone viral where MLAs, ruling party officials and hotels partying and allowing parties. And if this is happening why should the people follow the rules?



According to the sources the party was held in guest house at Umtavaddo in Calangute on July 5.


The party was attended by few people but safety norms such as wearing of masks and social distancing was laid to rest.


Take a look at this video where BJP MLA from Aldona Glenn Ticlo enters the party spot wearing mask on his chin.


The people present at the party welcoming him and Ticlo waves his hand to the people enjoying the party.


In another clip. North Goa BJP vice-president and Mapusa councilor Fransico Carvalho is seen dancing.


In another clip, Russians organised a night party throwing all caution to the wind.


Lockdown is still in force and all bars and pubs are closed. However, a party was held in a pub in Morjim by Russians.


Locals called the cops. Pernem Police rushed the site and stopped the party.


Reports say police also seized electronic items used for the party. However, police have to face fury of locals as non of them were arrested.
