Police arrest fellow security guard for colleague murder

In a major breakthrough Cuncolim police have managed to catch 45-yr – old Lakshi Basumatary, a security guard and native of Assam for murdering Siddharammaya Wandal a fellow security guard.

They were deployed at boat craft company at IDC Cuncolim on the intervening night of 23 and 24 November.

He was arrested from the Margao railway station.

He was absconding since the commission of offence and wanted in Cuncolim P.S Cr.no. 136/2020, u/s 302 IPC for murdering of fellow security guard 66-year-old Siddharamayya Wandal.

Accused has confessed to have committed the crime.

Police have recovered the assault weapon, a iron pipe.

Further investigation is in progress with PI Therron Dcosta under the supervision of SP South Pankaj Kumar Singh and SDPO Margao, Kiran Poduval.
