One arrested for murder in Vasco

The Vasco Police on Wednesday night arrested one person for the murder of a taxi driver. The accused had brutally injured the taxi driver on the 1st of May. The taxi driver expired while undergoing treatment at the GMC hospital on Thursday. The accused has been arrested under section 302.

Accused Azim Shaikh has been charged with the murder of taxi driver Deepak Dalvi. The Vasco police said that Azim and Deepak had a fight outside a bar at Mangor, Vasco on the night of 1st May. Azim assaulted Deepak with a bottle. Deepak was later shifted to GMC hospital. Both, the deceased and the accused had registered cross-complaints against each other. Azim was released on bail. However, after Deepak's death, Vasco police arrested Azim and also wrote to court for cancellation of bail and add the section 302 for murder against Azim.
