NGOs condemn atrocity against Chandor girl

The issue of law and order is once again a hot topic, especially with regard to the safety and security of woman. A girl was forced to drink disinfectant by two unknown persons at Chandor on Tuesday. Two days have passed since the incident. But police are yet to arrest the accused. The incident proves that there is no safety of women and children in Goa, alleged social activists & NGOs.



It may be recalled that a 18-year-old girl was stopped by two unknown persons on a bike while she was on her way towards work in Chandor. They forced the girl to drink a disinfectant and fled from the scene. The girl was admitted to Hospicio hospital. Maina-Curtorim police have booked two unknown persons.


Social activist Royala Fernandes and Bailancho Ekvott's Auda Viegas condemned the incident and criticized Chief Minister on the issue.
