Man held for cheating 50 with jobs abroad

45-year-old Arthur Kennedy Lourenco was arrested in Margao on charges of duping nearly 50 persons after collecting huge sums of money from them by promising jobs abroad.
The accused had promised jobs to nearly 50 people and had collected nearly 15 lakhs from them.
Police suspect that the racket could be to the tune of Rs 30 to 50 lakh. Police acted on the complaint of 21- year-old Xavier Fernandes, a victim of the racket.
