Babush, Rosy charge-sheeted in 2-year old minor girl rape case

Former minister Babush Moseratte, who is now the vice president of ruling Goa Forward, has been chargesheeted by Goa police in a case of raping a minor girl. Babush was arrested in this case two years ago, in May 2016.

The police have confirmed about the charge sheet being filed against Babush. But not ready to give more details.

What Goa365 has gathered is that three major sections have been slapped on  Babush.

Section 376 of IPC which charges a public servant for raping, another section 76 of IT Act and other sections of the new act POCSO. 

Babush was arrested in May 2016 on the charges of raping a minor girl who was working in his shop.

The charge is that girl’s neighbour Rosy Aunty took her to the farmhouse of Babush, where she was given a drink with sedatives and then she was raped.

The police have also chargesheeted Rosy along with Babush. The victim girl is now 18 and still in the Apna Ghar.
