3 ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT, ROBBERY

Mapusa police have arrested three persons on charges of assault and robbery. Police received a complaint from a man stating that the three had assaulted him and even threatened to use firearms before robbing him of all his belonging

The victim was on his way home when the group boxed him into a corner using their vehicle. Posing as Narcotics officers, they assaulted and robbed the victim. After the incident, the group fired gunshots near a bank in Mapusa, startling locals in the area.

Luckily no injuries have been reported from this incident. Police have filed an FIR against them and have seized the firearm and vehicle used during the robbery.
