The police’s crime branch got 2 days remand for budding Vasco based politician Kenneth Silveira on Thursday.

On Wednesday he was arrested for allegedly saying on Facebook that the chief minister Manohar Parrikar was no more.

He has applied for bail and the order is reserved for Friday. Kenneth had contested against Parrikar from Panaji in the recent bye elections.

The news is wrong. The chief minister is undergoing treatment in the United States and is expected to return to the state mid May. But the opposition says the government reaction to the post was harsh. But the ruling is treating it as buisness as usual.
