Positive, recovered cases cross 1 lakh mark in India, Goa reports 40 new cases

The active covid-19 cases and numbers of recovered patients have crossed to more than 1 lakh in India. Country has also reported a biggest single day jump of 8909 cases on Wednesday taking total tally to 2.07 lakhs.

The death toll has surged to 5815. Meanwhile, 40 positive cases were reported on Wednesday in Mangoor Hill containment zone and one at Dona Paula.

200 samples from Mangoor Hill containment zone were taken for examination. Out of which 184 samples were tested and 40 persons were reported to be positive for covid-19.

 A single day jump of around 8909 covid-19 cases were reported in India. In last 24 hours around 204 deaths were reported and almost 4531 patients have recovered.

India has reported 208479 covid-19 positive cases till date. And the active cases have crossed 1 lakh mark.

5612 deaths are reported and more than 1 lakh patients have recovered. Maharashtra is leading with 72300 cases followed by Tamil Nadu 24586, Delhi 22132 and Gujarat 17617 cases.

More than 1 lakh covid-19 cases were reported worldwide in single day.

The covid-19 cases have crossed 64 lakhs mark, 3.82 lakh deaths are reported and more than 30 lakhs have recovered.
