India reports 26,500 new cases, stands 3rd Globally

India reports its biggest single-day jump of more than 26,500 coronaviruses in the last 24 hours with 475 deaths.



This takes the total number of cases to 7,93,802. The tally of active cases in the country stands at 2,76,685. Out of the total cases that have been reported, 4,95,513 have been cured or discharged.


A single day jump of 26,506 COVID-19 cases were reported in India. In the last 24 hours around 475 deaths were reported.


India has reported 7,93,802 COVID-19 positive cases till date. And the active cases have crossed 2,76,685. 21,604 deaths are reported and more than 4.95 lakh patients have recovered.


Here are the five worst-hit coronavirus states. Maharashtra is leading with 2.5 lakh mark of COVID-19 cases followed by Tamil Nadu 1.25 lakh, Delhi 1 lakh, Gujarat 40 thousand and Uttar Pradesh 32,362.


Across the world, there have been a total of 1,22,64,540 confirmed coronavirus cases. This includes 49,73,887 people who are being treated, 67,35,818 who have recovered and 5,54,835 who have died.


Here are the five worst-hit coronavirus nation. The United States is leading with more than 3,220,500 cases followed by Brazil 1,759,103 cases, India with 795,605 Russia 707,301 cases and Peru with 316,448 lakh cases.
