Covid-19 India: recovery rate jumps to 96.42% & fatality rate drops to 1.44%

India reported more than 18,000 coronavirus cases in last 24 hours. While, national COVID-19 recovery rate has pushed further to 96.42% and the case fatality rate has dropped to 1.44%. The active caseload remained below three lakh for the 20th consecutive day. The active cases comprise 2.14 per cent of the total caseload.



A single day jump of 18,645 covid-19 cases were reported in India. In the last 24 hours 201 deaths were reported and 19,299 patients have recovered.

India has reported 1,04,50,284 covid-19 positive cases till date. 1,50,999 deaths are reported and 1,00,75,950 patients have recovered.

Active cases stands at 2.23 lakhs.


Maharashtra is leading with 19.65 lakh mark of covid-19 cases followed by Karnataka 9.26 lakh, Andhra Pradesh 08.84 lakh, Tamil Nadu 8.25 lakh and Kerela 08 lakh.

More than 8 lakh cases were reported worldwide in single day.

The global cases have reached 9 crore, 19.36 lakh deaths are reported and 06.45 crore have recovered.


United States is leading with more than 2.14 crore cases followed by 2nd worst hit nation India 1.04 crore cases, Brazil 79.61 lakh cases, Russia 33.79 lakh cases and UK with 28.57 lakh cases.
