Kavlekar assures seafarers to take up pension issue with CM

Retired seafarers from Salcete taluka have not been receiving their pension for the past nine months. On Friday, led by former president of Goa Seamen Association of India.
Dixon Vaz met Deputy Chief Minister Babu Kavlekar and apprised him of their problems. The deputy chief minister assured them to take up the matter with the chief minister.
The retired seafarers get around 2,500 rupees pension. They depend on this pension to meet their expenses. They have been facing hardships after their pension was stopped.
