India reported more than 4 lakh cases in the last 24 hours

India reported more than 4 lakh cases in the last 24 hours for the second consecutive day. The country also reported almost 4,000 deaths in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, Maharashtra, which is one of the worst affected states, is now showing decline in new and active cases.

India reported a single day jump of 4,14,188 cases taking the total tally of cases to 2.14 crore. Also 3,915 persons succumbed to covid-19 in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 2.34 lakhs. The number of recovered patients reached 1.96 crore after 3 lakhs recoveries in the last 24 hours. 

  Maharashtra reported the highest 62,194 covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours followed by Karnataka 49,058 and Kerala 42,464.
