If you want to become a writer, a painter, an artist or a knowledgable person, bunk your classes and play truant. Schools and colleges are nothing but slaughter houses where your creativity is killed mercilessly and ATM machines are manufactured. This is the appeal made by renowned writer Rajan Gawas to the young creative students and youth.

Gawas inaugurated the 19th Konkani Yuva Sammelan, organized jointly by Goa Konkani Academy and Ganpat Parsekar Education College at Harmal in Pedne.

Young writer and teacher Gopinath Gawas was honoured with prestigious Meghashyam Naik Yuva Award of this year.

Education Society President and former CM Laxmikant Parsekar and Academy president Arun Sakhardande were also present. Sammelan President Hanumant Chopdekar spelt out his Mission 2020 on this occasion.

Veteran Marathi writer Rajan Gawas came down heavily on today’s education system which converts students into money –making machines. Watch what he says.
