Goa celebrates Shigmo, Rangpanchmi and Gulalotsav

The Goans are grooving on the beats of Dhol and Tashe.



Kids to elderly people are mixed-up in the celebrations of Goan Shigmo, Rangpanchmi and Gulalotsav.


On Wednesday Shigmo and Gulalotsav was celebrated with a great enthusiasm across Goa.


Rangpanchmi was celebrated in various parts of Panaji. The people living in cities don't get an opportunity to celebrate Shigmo and Gulalotsav in their village.


So the Panjikars relished the moments of rangpanchmi by applying colours to each other faces.


Traditional Shigmo of Cuncolim has started and it will continue for four days.


The young generations has taken up the responsibility to forward this traditional.


The traditional Satryotsav and Gulalotsav was celebrated in Shantadurga Kuncolikarin temple at Pajarconi in Cuncolim.


People celebrated this event in jovial mood. 

The Calangutkars kicked off their traditional Shigmo celebrations on the night of Holi.


Villagers in Sautawaddo Calangute celebrated their Shigmo by beating dhob and tashe in Bhumika temple in Calangute.
