Wife killed, husband injured in road mishap at Verna

The haphazard national highway at Verna claimed the live of a women. The husband and wife from Cortalim were travelling on a scooter and met with an road mishap with trailer at the Titan junction in Verna along the national highway. Wife was crushed to death after she came under the wheels of trailer and husband was grievously injured.

Deceased senior citizens John D'Souza and his wife Donata D'Costa were travelling towards Margao from Cortalim.

When they reached near the Titan junction in Verna their two-wheeler collided with a truck belonging to Dilip Buildcon which was transporting construction material. Donta died on the spot while his husband John suffered grievous injuries. John is undergoing medical treatement.
