Navy's fighter plane MiG-29K crashes, pilots eject safely

The Navy said that MiG-29K a twin seater aircraft took off from INS Hansa Air Base at Dabolim for a routine training.
While, the jet was air-bone a flock of birds hit the engines of the jet. The pilot observed the left engine had flamed out and the right engine had caught fire.
The pilot pointed the aircraft away from populated areas and both pilots ejected safely out of the jet. The jet was piloted by Capt M Sheokhand and Lt Cdr Deepak Yadav.
The pilots were given assistance by the Verna locals after they landed and then shifted to hospital. There was no loss of life or damage to property on ground.
