MPT tug hits Vasco trawlers, owners suffer loss of Rs. 95 lakhs: GFBOA

A MPT tug of MPT hit six trawlers and damaged them. The trawlers were anchored 20 meters away from the fishing jetty. Goa Fishermen Boat Owners Association has demanded an inquiry into the incident. The incident took place on Wednesday night.

GFBOA president Jose Philip D'Souza complained  that this was the third incident and that the trawler owners have suffered a loss of 95.95 lakh ruppes. He said that he has written to fisheries minister and MPT demanding  compensation.
