Huge tree comes crashing down on House, traps man underneath at Ponda

One man was trapped inside the house after a huge tamarind tree came crashing down on a house at Durbhat Ponda on Friday morning. He was rescued by locals and shifted to hospital. A car was also damaged in the incident.

 The incident took place at around 11 in the morning where a tree fell on the house near Ganapati temple at Caswada in Durbhat Ponda. One Shridas Naik got trapped below the tree during the incident.

Locals rushed to the site and rescued him. He was injured and was shifted Sub District Hospital in Ponda. A car parked in the vicinity was also damaged quite badly. Later, fire fighters rushed to site and cleared the tree.
