Francis funeral on Sat, Vishnu’s cadaver arriving on Sun

Former Deputy Chief Minister and Mapusa MLA Late Francis D'Souza funeral, the last rituals will be held on Saturday at 4 in the evening at the St. Jeromes Church in Mapusa.



 While on the other hand the body of the Goa's eminent writer and politician Vishnu Surya Wagh will reach Goa on early Sunday morning and will taken to his house in Dhavli Ponda.

Many political leader and other prominent personalities paid final condolence visit to the Late Francis D'Souza and his mourning family and relatives in Mapusa.

Even ailing Cheif Minister Manohar Parrikar, Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo, TCP minister Vijai Sardesai, former CM and Mandrem MLA Laxmikant Parsekar and many more. The funeral of the senior BJP leader will be held on Saturday at 4 in the evening at the St Jerome Church in Mapusa.


Writer and politician Vishnu Wagh’s cadaver will arrive in Goa on Sunday early morning, after which it would be taken to his bungalow at Dhavali in Ponda. His wife Aruna Wagh has requested that visit's to the bungalow on Sunday should be from 8 o’ clock to pay tributes. She has also clarified why the news of death was released after five days.

According to Aruna, Vishnu & family had visited South Africa earlier in October for 10 days and he felt happy. Recently, after his frequent hospitalisation, he expressed his wish to once again visit South Africa where Mahatma Gandhi got inspiration for independence movement of India. She says when Vishnu passed away suddenly, she was not in senses for almost three days, after which they started movements to bring him back from 12th February onwards.
