Floods reported in Goa, locals questions on authority preparedness

Monsoon has just began, but floods have already started. This has been witnessed in Vasco and Margao on Friday. Locals have begun questioning the pre-monsoon works of the concerned authorities. They have demanded the authorities take this matter seriously so that no more floods happen.

On Friday, the Margao Market witnessed floods and people were seen walking through the water. The shopkeeper have now demanded that all nullahs and gutters be cleaned so that water flow doesn't get blocked. 

Merces Vaddem Near have raised concerns over the flooding of surrounding areas due to the non cleaning of Nullah and gutters before the monsoon season. Locals said that the area gets flooded during monsoon every year because of non cleaning of these nallas near the Merces vaddem church surrounding.
