CM promises help to rain affected, wants social media denizens to exercise restraint

Goa has received 163 inches of rain, which is 25% higher than normal. And a large chunk of that has come in the last 10 days forcing the authorities to open the gates of many of the states dams. After the unprecedented disaster that has forced the evacuation of around 150 families from many parts of the state especially Sal, the chief minster promised all relief to those affected



Vegetables and Milk supply has been affected. On one of the days, schools and colleges were given off. Now headmasters of schools have been given the leeway to declare holidays if need be.


The chief minister announced this during a discussion on the rain aftermath in the state. But he also requested the people to not create panic by blindly forwarding messages.

The chief minister spoke about the devastation and the measures that the government was undertaking. He also promised all help. The chief minister spoke on the blockade of the roads coming into the state and the shortage of vegetables and milk.
