2 killed in bus accident at Panaji KTC

Passengers were alighting from a Ponda bus when a local Taleigao bus sped into the Panaji Kadamba bus stand from the wrong side and ploughed into the unsuspecting alighting passengers. Two lives are lost, while a 25-year -old is battling for her life at the GMC.

Two passengers, 51-year-old Shankar Thakur from Curti Ponda and 72-year-old Tulsidas Bhat passed away while undergoing treatment at GMC.

25-year-old Prerna Bhagat from Ponda, 54-year-old Lou Vaigankar from Divar and 29-year-old Vincent Braganza from St Cruz are critically injured.

The errant driver fled the spot after the accident leaving the bus running.
