At around 7 o’ clock on Saturday, a truck coming from Karwar side overtook a vehicle and hit the Maruti Swift car going to Karwar head on.

Both the vehicles were thrown off the road. This family from Karwar was living in Vasco.

The husband was working abroad. As he landed at Daboli, they were travelling to their home town.

The husband is being shifted to GMC hospital and is in critical condition.

52-year Kasim Sayyed, 21-year Saddam Kaliga and 29-year Sabina Baig died on the spot.

Their 6-month old child Arya died while being shifted to hospital.

Police have arrested 24-year old truck driver from Dandeli, Manjunath Allaiga.
