Rowdysm of tourists is on rise on Goan beaches. Especially those who drink liquor. Consuming alcohol in public is banned in the state.

However, tourists continue to flout the rules and the authorities turn a blind eye.

A politician representing the famous Calangute beach is now asking for a Chintan Baithak on the issue.

Beaches are right now full of liquor bottles littered everywhere and anywhere.

Bottles  of beer and other alcoholic drinks were strewn on beaches of  North and South Goa.

The tourists did not even have the courtesy of throwing the empty bottles into the  bins provided on the beaches.

In South Goa too, the bottles were thrown  on the beaches  but they were quickly cleared by beach cleaners on 1st of January.

But the problem is that tourists don't listen to anybody.

Deputy  Speaker and Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has called for a chintan bhaitak to discuss issues of rowdyism tourists on beaches.
