Speed Governors, GPS and high security number plates would be now compulsory in Goa from March.

No compromise, says Transport Minister Sudin Dhavlikar. But for the goods vehicles and taxis.

Private vehicles are in optional category. And fixing meters would also be made to the taxis.

Dhavalikar has also appealed to private vehicle owners to fit the GPS system as it indicates the location of the vehicle in case of an accident or any emergency.

Regarding the issue of traffic diversion on Madgao-Panaji route would be finalised by 7th of January.

Dhavalikar is again having another inspection on Wednesday.
