Despite govt promises people still cooking, eating on streets

Goa's famous tourist destination Baga is overcrowded.

However, these tourists dont help the local economy.

They bring their own food, utensils, cook and eat in open.

The authorities including the Calangute panchayat and local panch has been promising that they will act on the nuisance.

But these have been empty promises.

This is main road in heart of the Baga.

The Maharastra registered car parked alongside the road and occupants of the car seating beside the car, eating in open.

There is also a gas cylinder nearby.

This video raises question on the lethargy by local Calangute panchayat.

A squad is supposed to have been formed to act on open cooking and eating.

But this video proves that all this is empty talk.

Looks as if local panchas Shawn Martins and Saluzinho Fernandes are not bothered about this.
