State Youth Award for the year 2018-19 presented to Utorda club

Clubs across Goa should take up the responsibility of promoting sports activities and motivate children to participate in sports, not only at the State level but also National level, sports minister and deputy Chief Minister, Manohar Babu Azgaokar said, on Monday.

He was speaking after the State Youth Awards for the year 2018-19.

The State Youth Award function was organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Secretariat, Porvorim on Monday.

The Sports Minister presented the awards to the United Club of Utorda. The club has produced one international player while 7 players represented the State of Goa.

The Club also has a medical facilitation centre where it provides hospital beds, wheel chairs, nebulizer, oxygen cylinders and other medical instruments to the sick and needy. It also has a Farmers club registered with NABARD.
