National Games postponed; Babu says Goa ready to host event anytime

The 36th National Games in Goa have been further delayed after the State Government said that it cannot host the national event due to the outbreak of Covid19 and the event will be held in next year. But the Sports Minister Babu Azgaonkar wants to go ahead with the event.



Speaking to media, Sports Minister Babu Azgaonkar said that all infrastructure is ready, but we cant play with the lives of our players and people.

National Games were allotted in 2008, which were originally scheduled to be held in 2011 and after several postponements, the 36th edition was scheduled from 20 October 2020 to 04 November 2020.
