Guaravaddo defeats Umtavaddo in Cal football tourney

Gauravaddo defeated Umtavaddo in the finals of 4th Interward Football Tournament organized by United Boys of Khobrawaddo at Poriot Ground, Calangute. Gauravaddo defeated Umtavaddo by 2-0 in the finals.

A total of 10 teams from each Calangute ward participated in the tournament which spanned a duration of 10 days. Only Guaravaddo and Umtavaddo made it to finals. Jovito Fernandes was awarded the player of the tournament, Sanjay Vengurlekar as Best Midfielder,

Alaster Fernandes as Best Forward, Desmond Miranada as Best Defender and Francis Fernandes as Best Goalkeeper. The tournament was organized by Akhil and Mitesh Divkar of United Boys of Khobrwaddo. MGP supremo Ramakrishna Sudin Dhavlikar was chief guest and Calangute MLA Michael Lobo was the presiding guest during finals.
