Mask raids continue, overpriced masks also seized

Legal metrology department has continued its drive to crack down on substandard and overpriced masks. On Wednesday, the officials seized total 2540 masks in raids conducted in Mormugao taluka for selling them at exorbitant rates.

Legal Metrology department has seized 2075 ordinary masks, 40 CN masks and 425 V44 masks.

On Tuesday Legal Metrology department had carried out similar raid across Goa for not meeting saftey standards.

The department had seized 806 ordinary masks and 195 N95 masks across Goa.

Raids were conducted in Panaji, Mapusa, Madgao, Vasco, Ponda, Bicholim & Kudchade.
