The anger over 17 year congress chief minister Pratapsingh Rane statements ridiculing Goans working abroad has still not died down.

The lack of remorse and the muted response from Congress that derives its strength from the Salcete belt has been glaring and attacked by civil society and social media.

Now belatedly it is the Goa Mahila Congress who demanded an apology from him and apologize on his behalf.

On Friday state Mahila chief Prathima Coutinho apologized to Goans over the statement made by her senior leader Pratapsingh Rane and demanded an apology from him.

The Mahila Congress expressed their sadness over the statement made by their own senior party member.

“Thinga vochun Sandas dutatt” This statement made by the senior Congress leader Pratapsingh Rane in the assembly has upset lakhs of Goans.

He feels there is nothing wrong with his statement.

And maybe neither do any of his MLA colleagues.

There has been nothing from the legislators as yet.
