Today is Chovoth. This is as per Hindu calendar. On Saturday pujas of Lord Ganesh were performed in all Hindu household, across the state throughout the state. However, this time the festivities are muted due to the instructions of the government asking to martian social distancing and not gather in numbers.

The chief minister Pramod Sawant ancestral hose is in kutomb. Sawant and his entire family were there to celebrate Ganesh. The leader of opposition Digambar Kamat and his family too are seen doing the rituals.

The Lord is thanked for fulfilling peoples wishes. And wished put before him too. The ladies of the house venerate him with lamps even as some visitors are seen going to peoples houses. This time innovatively people have been consulting the internet while doing pujas.

Normally during chovoth people go to their ancestral houses. Watch the Josalkar family celebrate their festival and our reporter Clinton D'Souza at Nagoa.

Technology has played a big part in this years Chovoth. Take for example the home of former MLA Vijay Kamulkar. Here technology played a large part. Listen to the explanation.
