Will Cong MLAs split? Goa Forward to continue support without Parrikar as CM

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is back home. But Goa’s political situation is still fluid.

Due to this, there are all kinds of rumours spreading time and again. The question is whether Parrikar would now distribute his main portfolio to others, or he will step down as the chief minister.

And in that case what stand the coalition partners will take? Will some Congress MLAs split to join the BJP? Watch what the BJP, Goa Forward and the opposition Congress says about these crucial issues.

Our chief reporter Glenn Costa spoke to BJP’s Goa President Vinay Tendulkar at length on these issues. From CM’s future plans to the discontent among BJP MLAs on the cabinet reshuffle.

The initial stand of Goa Forward was to support only Manohar Parrikar as the CM. But now their leader Vijai Sardesai has taken a different stand. They will continue supporting the coalition government even if Parrikar is not the CM. For the full terms of five years.

All this while Vinay Tendulkar was claiming that some Congress MLAs are in touch with him and they may split. But now he claims they won’t engineer any defection in any party.

But Congress looks at it as a counter strategy of the BJP to keep their MLAs united. No Congress MLA would split.
