Scrutiny over; campaign starts in full swing for civic polls

The campaigns for municipal polls are in full swing. The scrutiny and withdrawals stage is over. Symbols have already been given and 402 candidates are in the ring. The second phase of polls to five municipalities- Mapusa, Mormugao, Margao, Quepem and Sanguem will take place on 23rd April and results will be out on 26th April.

BJP's panel Vibrant Margao has started campaigning in full swing. Its candidate Dr Sushanta Kurtarkar held door to door campaign in her ward No 13.

  Congress has announced its backing for the panel under the banner of Mormugao Warriors. Candidates have been fielded in all 9 wards of Mormugao constituency.
