Probe demanded into disproportionate assets of Goa Forward VP Durgadas Kamat

United Goans Foundation has demanded a vigilance probe against Goa Forward leader and former OSD of WRD minister Durgadas Kamat accusing him of amassing disproportionate assets, conspiracy, corruption, fraud and criminal breach of trust.

The NGO has also demanded an inquiry to find out if WRD minister Vinod Palayekar is also involved in it.

The complaints are filed before the Chief Secretary and Anti-Corruption Branch of the Vigilance Department under various sections of the IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 with documentary evidence.

The NGO has also alleged that Durgadas withdrew court cases against casinos for monetary consideration.

 Dr Ashish Kamat, along with his members, has also demanded to probe the role of Malabar constructions as well as WRD minister Vinod Palayekar.

However, he says they don’t expect anything different from Goa Forward President Vijai Sardesai.
