Politics over garbage, or garbage-politics?

Is it politics of garbage or garbage-politics? Pilern Citizens’ Forum has alleged that BJP Minister Michael Lobo and Goa Forward MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar are playing politics on the issue of expansion of Saligao garbage treatment plant.

In reality, the cabinet had given nod to this proposal in February when Jayesh was a minister in the BJP-led government. And he never objected to it.

Saligao MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar is on the forefront to oppose expansion of Saligao plant.

But Pilerne Citizen Forum says he is misguiding people.

But when Jayesh was in the cabinet, then chief minister Manohar Parrikar had sanction 82.15 crore rupees to the Goa Waste Management Corporation to expand the plant.
