HC lists Cong disqualification petition for 10 Dec

The High Court has listed disqualification petition by Congress against their 10 MLAs who had defected for final disposal on 10 December. Respondents which includes Speaker and the 10 defected MLA's are been directed to file their replies on or before 6 December.

The High Court also took note of MGPs Ramkrishna Sudhin Dhavilikar’s petition and could tag it along with Congress petition for final disposal. GPCC president Girish Chodankar had filed writ petition challenging the order of Speaker who had dismissed disqualification petition filed against 10 MLAs. Vivek Tankha and Abhijit Gosavi from Congress told the bench that the said matter is purely on a question of law which needs to be addressed urgently in order to protect the credibility of democracy. The bench has asked all the parties to file their written statement on or before 9 December.
