Goa govt to increase wages of daily wage workers, reconstitute Labour Board :Babush

Following a slew of initiatives announced today, wage earners can expect to see an increase in their daily wages and increased ease of access to welfare schemes. Additionally, the initiative to reconstitute the Labour and Employment Board will also be taken in the coming months, promised Labour minister, Antanasio 'Babush' Monseratte on Friday.

After 6 years, daily wage earners may see a revision in their wages following an announcement by Labour & Employment Minister earlier today. Currently, Goa’s daily wages are far behind states like Kerala and Delhi and are not on par with Central Govt. wages.

Babush announced a slew of initiatives for daily wage earners earlier today, among which was a card for the state's entire workforce that would facilitate easy access to around 17 welfare schemes.
