Behind the curtain, activities have gained momentum in the Congress camp as the BJP-led coalition government has started showing signs of instability.

While Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is away in the USA for treatment, many MLAs and even ministers have started expressing dissent over the state of governance.

Congress observer Chellakumar has told Goa365 that his party cannot remain a silent spectator in such a situation.

The Congress officially speaks only about the misgovernance and prays for the speedy recovery of Parrikar.

But lots of alternate permutations and combinations are being worked out if situation leads to Parrikar stepping down as the chief minister.

In this background, Congress observer Chellakumar was in Goa and met several party leaders.

Though he refused to disclose the political strategy, the high command observer made it amply clear that party won’t remain a mere spectator.

Chellakumar met GPCC President Shantaram Naik, opposition leader Babu Kavalekar as well as former chief ministers Ravi Naik, Luizinho Faleiro and Digambar Kamat.

After the meeting at the Congress House, Shantaram once again said that Congress would definitely try and form the government if Parrikar government collapses.
